South Sulawesi Manpower and Transmigration Agency Receives Working Visit from East Luwu DPRD Special Committee to Discuss Local Workforce Protection and Empowerment

Makassar - The South Sulawesi Provincial Manpower and Transmigration Agency (Disnakertrans) received a working visit from Special Committee II (Pansus II) of the East Luwu Regency Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) as part of the preparation of a Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) on the Protection and Empowerment of Local Workers.

The working visit was conducted as part of Pansus II DPRD East Luwu's efforts to obtain suggestions, input, and information from the government agency responsible for manpower affairs. The input will serve as a reference in the process of preparing the proposed regional regulation.

The delegation was received by Head of the Employment Development Division of the South Sulawesi Provincial Disnakertrans, Hj. Nur Eni Yahya, S.Sos., M.M., together with Rizal Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., Functional Manpower Inspector.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged information and discussed various aspects of manpower affairs, particularly issues concerning the protection and empowerment of local workers. Input from the South Sulawesi Provincial Disnakertrans is expected to contribute to the formulation of regulations that respond to regional needs and provide tangible benefits for local communities and workers.

The working visit also served as an opportunity to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the South Sulawesi Provincial Government and the East Luwu Regency Government, particularly in developing manpower policies that promote worker protection, employment opportunities, and competency development for local workers.

Through stronger inter-institutional cooperation, the Draft Regional Regulation on the Protection and Empowerment of Local Workers is expected to produce an implementable regulatory framework that safeguards workers' interests while supporting manpower development in East Luwu Regency.
