The South Sulawesi Provincial Manpower and Transmigration Office serves as a regional government implementing element holding strategic responsibilities in managing the local affairs of manpower and transmigration. The scope of duties and functions of this institution is broad and crucial for regional development, encompassing the fostering of sound industrial relations, rigorous labor inspection, the organization of job training to enhance skills, the optimization of workforce placement, comprehensive protection for prospective migrant workers and migrant workers, the expansion of social security, the improvement of labor productivity, and the empowerment of independent and competitive transmigrant community self-reliance. Office Objectives

The goals of the South Sulawesi Provincial Manpower and Transmigration Office for the 2025-2029 period refer to the South Sulawesi Provincial Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) for 2025-2029. The RPJMD Goal for 2025-2029 related to the affairs of the Manpower and Transmigration Office is Increasing inclusive economic growth (Goal 3). Meanwhile, the RPJMD targets for 2025-2029 related to Manpower and Transmigration affairs are Increasing local government accountability (T.5.1) and Decreasing poverty and unemployment (T.3.5). Guided by the goals and targets of the 2025-2029 RPJMD, the goal of the South Sulawesi Provincial Manpower and Transmigration Office is To increase the performance of manpower development through labor productivity, employment opportunities, and worker protection, as well as the development of effective and sustainable transmigration programs.

Goals & Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

Based on the goals of the South Sulawesi Provincial Manpower and Transmigration Office in the 2025-2029 Strategic Plan (Renstra), the targets of the South Sulawesi Provincial Manpower and Transmigration Office are formulated as follows: (1) Increasing the Performance Accountability of Regional Device Planning and Financial Management (KPI: OPD SAKIP Score); (2) Increasing the workforce empowered through sound workforce planning, enhanced productivity and skills/competencies, as well as domestic and overseas workforce placement (KPI: Empowered Workforce Index); (3) Increasing protection for workers in accordance with applicable labor norms and laws and the implementation of industrial relations facilities (KPI: Percentage Decrease in Labor Cases); and (4) Increasing the Development and Expansion of Transmigration Areas (KPI: Transmigration Area Development Index).
